Add Your Own Finishing Touches With Custom Options
Our FRP Flush Doors are available in unique configurations such as arched doors, custom sizes, unequal pairs, monorail cut-outs or Dutch doors. Special-Lite manufactures a line of hardware, vision lites, framing and panel products that complement the SL-17 while adding flair and functionality to your entrance.
Options include our vision lites, panels, louvers, removable mullions, push bars, pulls, security grates and vandal screens. The SL-17 is available up to 80" wide x 216" high (2032mm x 5486mm), and our SL-175 is available to 80" wide x 60" high (2032mm x 1524mm).
Internal Proximity Card Reader
Our FRP Flush Doors can be prepped for installation of low-profile proximity card readers inside the door. Internal mounting keeps the reader out of sight, out of the weather, and out of reach of vandals, improving security and protecting the card reader unit.
Vision Lites & Muntins
We can supply vision lites in five standard kits and in custom sizes, shapes, and finishes to suit your specific requirements. Special-Lite Vision Lites may be specified with either 1/4", 1/2", or 1" (6.4mm, 13mm, or 25mm) glazing. Aluminum surface-applied muntins in 1/2" and 1-1/4" (13mm and 32mm) widths are also available, and 1" (25mm) insulated glass is also available with internal muntins, allowing you to create just the look you want. 
Door Pulls & Push Bars
Special-Lite manufactures a selection of push bars and pulls designed to improve entrance safety and security. When factory installed, labor is warranted for 10 years.
Removable Mullions
Removable Mullions are available to allow large equipment to pass through with ease. Two versions are offered, the non-electric SL-60, and the pre-wired SL-60E for use with electric hardware.
Louvers, Security Grates and Vandal Screens
Louvers installed in doors are subject to the size and position guidelines that apply to vision lites. Insect screens are available option and must be specified. Louvers are also available for transom and side lite applications. Security grates can protect lites in extreme environments, while our vandal screens protect against casual abuse.
Panels
The Special-Lite® SL-37 Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester (FRP) Panel with matching face sheet materials is the perfect complement to our SL-17 FRP Flush Door for coordinated entrance designs.
Adjustable Continuous Hinge
Our SL-120 continuous hinge is a simple, easy-to-install solution to compensate for out-of-plumb jambs.
